Good! We've been needing to do it.

I like this layout fine! I don't mind if we were to set it to private, just for us. That way I can tell you lots of fun stories like this one:

Cutest thing ever! Lately, when Josh puts Madeline to bed, she wants to talk to him about sharks. They're rocking quietly in the dark, and—

M: Daddy!

J: Yes?

M: Kark!

J: A shark?

M: Teeth.

J: Does a shark have teeth?

M: Yeah! Sish.

J: Fish?

M: Yeah!

J: Do sharks eat fish? or Do fish have teeth?

M: Yeah! A kark!

And around they go, talking about how sharks and fish live in the water, and so do turtles and whales (Madeline pronounces "whales" wahf—I've noticed lately that she switches s and f in some words, haven't figured out the method yet). Last night I hadn't even closed the door all the way before she said brightly to Daddy, "Kark!"

Also, this makes me realize that I really need to write Reid a letter. :-)

On the other hand, if we leave the blog un-private and just turn off all the other things that would open it to public view, we could use one of those blog-publishing services once a year, and it could be like a journal we all write in! (And we'd be able to see it in Google Reader.) That wouldn't be too shabby. What do you think?
